Being a part of the Summer Camp Staff isn’t just another summer job. We work with youth from Scouts of all ages to not just teach outdoor skills and merit badges, but to change lives.

Available Positions
We hire staff for a wide range of program areas. Positions are available for ages 15 and up, with director-level roles requiring age 18+ or 21+. You’re never too old to be on camp staff!

Camp Commissioner Corps
Camp Commissioners are adult volunteer Scouters who serve as liaisons between troops and the camp staff. Commissioners attend camp free of charge and play a vital role in ensuring every troop has a great camp experience.
What Commissioners Do
- Conduct daily campsite inspections and award honor campsite recognition
- Facilitate Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) training for adult leaders
- Lead leader-specific trainings and roundtable discussions
- Help resolve troop concerns and connect leaders with camp resources
Requirements & Details
- Age 21+, registered BSA Scouter with current Youth Protection Training
- 3–5 commissioners serve each weekly session
- Commissioner orientation held in April before camp season
- Attend camp free — housing and meals provided
