Campsites

Camp Hohn has 13 year-round campsites, each with concrete tent pads, shelters, and patrol cooking facilities. Campsites range from intimate 14-person sites to the 54-person Cherokee campsite.

Backer

Capacity: 18  |  Tent Pads: 9  |  Shelters: 1

Located between the Ecology area and Iroquois campsite. Great for smaller units with ample space for dome tents and pioneering projects.

Baden Powell

Capacity: 30  |  Tent Pads: 15  |  Shelters: 1

On the northwestern side of camp between Dan Beard and Lewis. Great for units that like more nature while still feeling close to camp.

Cherokee ★

Capacity: 54  |  Tent Pads: 27  |  Shelters: 4

The largest campsite at camp, next to the Cherokee shower house and climbing tower. Great for large units or multiple small/medium units. Adjacent to a Gaga Ball octagon.

Chippewa

Capacity: 18  |  Tent Pads: 9  |  Shelters: 1

Near the center of camp next to McHenry, the Show & Do shelter, and a Gaga Ball octagon. Right in the middle of the action.

Clark

Capacity: 14  |  Tent Pads: 7  |  Shelters: 1

On the western side next to Lewis, across the parade field from the Climbing Tower. Great for small and linked units.

Dan Beard

Capacity: 30  |  Tent Pads: 15  |  Shelters: 1

Semi-secluded on the northwestern side, near Baden Powell and the Kit Carson Trail. For units that like more nature and don’t mind hiking a bit more.

Iroquois

Capacity: 36  |  Tent Pads: 18  |  Shelters: 2

Next to Backer and not far from the Trading Post. Great for large units or multiple smaller units. Adjacent to a hammock area that holds 12 hammocks.

Lewis

Western side next to Clark and the Sinquefield Invention Campus. Near the newest single-person bathrooms and showers.

McHenry

Central location next to Show & Do shelter, the Trading Post, and the trail to the rifle range. Close to everything.

Osage ★

Capacity: 50  |  Tent Pads: 25  |  Shelters: 4

Second-largest campsite, next to the Sinquefield Invention Campus. Short hike to the Osage Lookout — a scenic clifftop view of Lake of the Ozarks.

Seton ♿

Most centrally located campsite, next to the Central shower house. ADA friendly with lots of space for pioneering projects and additional tents.

Shawnee

Furthest from the entrance but closest to the lakefront aquatics area. Semi-secluded — great for units who don’t mind hiking to non-lakefront activities.

Sioux ★

Third-largest campsite, near the central shower house and the Outdoor Skills area. Great for linked units with lots of space for pioneering projects.
