Facility Rental

Lake of the Ozarks Scout Reservation is available year-round for Scout units, community groups, corporate retreats, and camping adventures. Our 450 acres of wooded lakefront property offer a unique setting for your next event.

Campsites

13 campsites plus the Commissioner Village, each with concrete tent pads, shelters, and ample surrounding space for additional tents. Campsites are free for Great Rivers Council units.

Cabins & Lodge

Staff Cabins

16 cabins located next to Parkhurst Staff Lodge. Each cabin sleeps 2–4 individuals. Available individually or as a group package.


Parkhurst Staff Lodge

Two sleeping rooms, kitchen with stoves and refrigerators, dining area with tables and chairs, heated restroom and shower facility, plus 2 adjacent bedrooms with bathroom.

Parkhurst & All Cabins Package

Weekend rental of the entire Parkhurst Staff Lodge and all 16 staff cabins — ideal for large group retreats, training events, or family reunions.

Shelters & Meeting Spaces

Fingland Shelter

Near the main entrance. Benches, picnic tables, power, overhead lighting, ceiling fans, and a working fireplace.

Johnson Shelter

Near Parkhurst Lodge. Benches, picnic tables, power, overhead lighting, and a nearby fire/BBQ pit.

Show and Do Shelter

Centrally located near the Quartermaster and Trading Post. Benches, picnic tables, power, and overhead lighting.

Sinquefield Invention Lab

6,000 sq ft training center with lake overlook. Two full bathrooms, kitchenette, and flexible classroom space.

Ranges, Waterfront & Equipment

Archery Range

Equipment includes 8 bows, 45 arrows, and 4 targets. Requires a trained archery instructor with certification card present on the range.

Rifle Range

Available for Scouts BSA troops and Venturing crews only. Requires an NRA-certified rifle instructor and a separate range safety officer (cannot be the same person).

Waterfront Equipment

Canoes, kayaks, rowboats, and stand-up paddleboards. Not available for off-site use. Groups must follow BSA Safe Swim Defense and Safety Afloat standards.

Quartermaster Equipment

Borrow gear from the Quartermaster during your stay: aluminum cook kits, canvas dining flies, two-person canvas wall tents on platforms (Apr 1 – Nov 1), cooking utensil kits, Dutch ovens, and griddles. Groups are responsible for checking equipment in and out with the Reservation Ranger.

Who Can Rent?

Scout Units

All Cub Scout packs, Scouts BSA troops, and Venturing crews are welcome — whether from the Great Rivers Council or visiting from other councils. GRC units camp free; out-of-council units receive the same pricing as local groups.

Non-Scouting Groups

Community groups, churches, corporate retreats, and other organizations are welcome. Non-Scouting groups must provide a certificate of liability insurance with minimum $1,000,000 policy limits naming Great Rivers Council and the BSA as co-insured.

Reservation Details

Check-In & Check-Out

  • Overnight check-in: No earlier than 6:00 PM on Friday
  • Overnight check-out: By 10:00 AM on Sunday
  • Day use: Check-in 8:00 AM, check-out 10:00 PM
  • All reservations must be made at least 14 days in advance
  • Groups must check in with Camp Hosts at the Welcome Center with a unit roster
  • At check-out, Camp Hosts and your group inspect facilities together; you are officially released after the Ranger reviews on Monday

Cancellation Policy

  • 30+ days before arrival: 75% refund (25% admin charge)
  • 15–30 days before arrival: 50% refund (50% admin charge)
  • Less than 14 days: No refunds
  • All refund requests must be made within 14 days of reservation date
  • Refunds may also be retained as credit for future reservations

All groups are responsible for leaving facilities clean and orderly. Failure to do so may result in additional charges, which must be paid within 30 days of the use date.
